What we collect
Registration requests include your name, email, SeekStudy student ID and programme. Approved students may add careers profile details, skills, a PDF CV and application messages. Careers profile details include subject, graduation year, career stage, location, preferred roles and an optional summary. Directory visibility is optional and off by default. Employers may submit contact, account request and vacancy details.
How information is used
The SeekStudy team uses registration details to verify enrolment and manage access. Profile and application information supports review of opportunities you choose to apply for. Employer information is used to verify employer access, manage their vacancies, and review and discuss submitted listings.
Who can access it
Portal administrators can review registration requests, profiles, applications and CVs. Approved students can see published opportunities and their own application records. Approved employers can manage their own vacancies and view the name and careers details of verified students who explicitly opt in to the Graduate Directory. Employers cannot access CVs, email addresses, student IDs or application records through the directory. Students can hide their profile by unchecking employer visibility and saving their profile. Employers submit introduction requests to SeekStudy; students can see these requests in My profile. CVs and student details are not published on the public website. Applications are initially reviewed by SeekStudy; the team should confirm the next steps with you before sharing your CV with an employer.
Storage and retention
Information is stored on SeekHire’s hosting service. Profile visibility changes take effect immediately for future directory views. Previously submitted contact requests remain as review records until removed by an administrator. Records remain until removed by an administrator. Contact the SeekStudy team to request correction, deletion or closure of your account. Copies in routine backups may remain until those backups expire.
External Careerjet job searches
Job searches in Canada, the UK, Singapore, Australia, Japan and China use Careerjet. To retrieve results, SeekHire sends your search terms, chosen location, IP address and browser information to Careerjet. Your student profile, CV, email address and application records are not included in these searches. Following an external application link takes you to the job provider and its privacy policy.
